I never saw this film when it came out, 23 years later I have just watched it on telly and I was gripped ! It was intense and quite powerful, brutal in parts and thought provoking. It had some real psychological thriller elements and I enjoyed Leo and Tilda’s performances the most, although David Carlisle was also very convincing as the crazy ‘Daffy’. All in all a good watch, a bit slow to start, but the pace and intrigue factor definitely builds ! ‘Paradise’ can be a very scary place…
