A great read of the calibre of some universal masterpieces, such as "War and Peace" or "For Whom the Bell Tolls". Over the lives of three generations, the novel depicts the human condition in all its aspects and colours- be it moments of grandeur or moments of fallibility. The way the author narrates the story (700 plus pages ) won't let you have a respite and put the book aside for awhile until you have read the last word of the last line of the book. The end of the story, just as its beginning, is majestically crafted.
