Paul Fisher's story of how he got into musical instrument making and the subsequent events which evolved from such simple a serendipitous beginning makes a very enjoyable and informing story.
It is a story which every parent should relate to their offspring at an appropriate time which is 'to keep your ears and eyes open to the sounds and beauty about you'.
Paul's time in the army in Germany, his careful use of precious materials from the Amazon Rain Forest when creating top quality guitars, and his endeavours to spread a greater understanding of the nature of sound and beauty are to be admired and sought after.
'Against the Grain' is a very good read of a period of time well lived!
