Makes Red Eye look like a intelligent tv drama! Peter Capaldi is 66 and looks older - far too old to be playing a cop. Cush Jumbo is far too good for this script! Miserable non-drama with lots of meaningful stares - the kind that 24 did so much better years ago!

Truly awful, self-indulgent, and boring! Like Meryl Streep, I can always see Tilda Swinton acting. I never get lost in the portrayal because I can see the method. Tilda spends the entire movie with her mouth hanging open, in shock, looking utterly gormless. Far far too many flashbacks, making it a disjointed mess. The book was excellent: the movie doesn't do it justice. I didn't get to the end because I just couldn't take another second of watching Tilda's shocked expression - whatever the scene, the same expression. I also don't understand the need for the obligatory nude love scene - so boring and unnecessary.
