This series has washed the story of two giants of civil rights movement with the half truths and removing many ideologies of the time. Why is it every biography of these great men filled with so many fabrications? Because Hollywood is racist. Anyone knowing true history of MLK Jr knows that his publicity manager was not who had "ghandi" ideas. In fact calling them "ghandi" ideas is from screen writers ignorance. It's also disrespectful to add secular rap music in connection with MLK or Malcolm X. MLK was an extremely conservative Christian in a era and its also false to have a Christian couple particularly of that decade for a bride to be so bold as to say I don't want to say the marriage vows. It takes away from who these people were. MLK Jr went personally to India to learn and study. Ghandi was a hindu and a pacifist who got his pacifism from what he called the greatest book the Bhagavad Gita which MLK Jr then studied and both men came away in awe of the book. It is always left out of the story of Ghandi and MLK Jr. Such a book that had a profound affect on great freedom movement leaders should be acknowledged. Having now read it myself 5x I can agree that to read a book that talks of so much violence and then become a pacifist is astonishing. I can only assume that it Hollywood is prejudice. Terrible cast choice for Malcolm X. Best actor playing the part of Malcom X is Nigel Thatch.
