I had high expectations, maybe too high. I’m a lover of a good horror, bonus points if it’s about demon/possessions. I’d say the film is a little creepy more than it is ‘scary’. Couple of jumpy points. I am overall quite disappointed, maybe my own fault for comparing it to the original (which Is far superior in my opinion). There are nods to the original which I liked. Think they missed a great opportunity to make a truly scary possession horror following on from the original success of 70s ‘The Exorcist’. I wouldn’t say to go out of your way to go and watch it. Shame because they really have missed a trick with this one, been a long time since there was a really good horror released and this unfortunately, just wasn’t it this time.
