I mean come on, if this was going to be a typical drama, the writer shouldn't have tried so hard to make it look different.
I thought this was supposed to be a healing one where the main characters will heal at the end even if they don't end up together!
I would have never complained if the makers just showed it as a melodrama where the couple go through different obstacles but always find their way back to each other, rather they promoted it as if it will be centred around Ju Eun Ho's mental health.
Why? Why after showing Jung Hyun Oh's problematic behaviour towards Ju Eun Ho in so many different ways, without him doing the bare minimum to rectify any of his actions, are they suddenly back together? Just because they have history? What kind of logic is this?
I know Ju Eun Ho was a saint while rejecting Kang Ju Yeon (compared to Hyun Oh) but that still doesn't exclude the fact that she basically did the same thing what Hyun Oh did to her. Using Ju Yeon for affection and validation only to discard him when she doesn't need him anymore?
FL already wasted 8 years with additional 4 years moping over him, why give her no character development at all? Why let her end up in the same toxic cycle? You don't have to date someone you feel nothing for but that doesn't mean you will undermine his struggles. Kang Ju Yeon is the only person who continuously checked up on her or tried to take proper action to find her unlike her beloved ex. He was worried sure but he did nothing about it. Now that Eun Ho is finally ready to heal or (not) suddenly he gets a red carpet welcome as if he wasn't the only reason behind her developing Dissociative Identity Disorder. His abandonment was the last straw for her mental health to collapse completely. I don't know what the makers are thinking.
I wish I could rate it negatively in Viki because even Shin Hye Sun's stellar performance can't make me not hate how Dear Hyeri is progressing.
I will not watch the last two episodes unless it redeems itself because I already wasted 10 precious hours of my life watching this hot pile of mess.
Just a suggestion for the writer : Please study more about mental health before writing a drama around it because this is definitely not Healing 101, not by a long shot.
