In this serial, Rishab Luthra should have been a protagonist. He is genuine, decent, humble and always he respects women. He didn't do any misdeeds to anyone. They portrayed his way of talking and approaching people as really humble. Even though Karan is his brother, he stands up for Preeta and stands against Karan's aggressive behavior.
They should have paired Preetha-Rishab and Karan-Sherlyn. Because The character Karan Luthra doesn't deserve to be hero. In one hand he married a girl named Preetha and leaves her in the mid way, on the other hand he tried to marry another girl Myra. He did all these, just for the sake of taking his revenge on Dr. Preetha. Even though Myra is a negative character, he did injustice to her as well.
On the other side, the heroine Preetha, after exposing Sherlyn and Myra she should have rejected Karan for all his misdeeds. But she tolerated all of his toxic behavior and hatred, also re-married him.
What kind of plot is this? When world is talking about women empowerment, it still shows a old tradition which says whatever a man does to the woman in married life, they still supposed to protect a relationship and even tolerate every thing for a man.
This kind of message shouldn't be consumed by people. Rather than showing Preetha, a good girl who can go any extreme in order to save her husband's family, they should have made her a bold girl who can go to any extreme for her self respect and against male dominance. she could have come out of married life after making him to realize that he is wrong.
However, the show's initial phase offered a breath of fresh air. The friendship between Karan, Preetha, and Rishab was awesome. Karan and Preetha's friendly bonding felt genuine, and the sense of humor shared by Srishti and Karan was highly commendable. Sameer and Srishti's friendship added another layer of delight to the show.
Unfortunately, the narrative strayed from this promising path, focusing on Karan's negativity and Preetha's tolerance.
