Unlike many who have reviewed this, I have not read the books. But I am a fan of this genre. That is when it is done well.
This is sad. The soundtrack is horrible. The music is cheesy. The dialog is predictable and dull. The performances are a bit overdramatic, or maybe it's just that horrible music that makes it feel that way.
This seems to me to be what some corporate suit,up in MGM said "Oh, everybody else is making a lot of money with medieval period shows, based (loosely I hear) on a successful series of books." and in their best Mickey Rooney- Judy Garland style they all agreed to "put on a show"
Wow compare this to GOT, to "The Last Kingdom", heck even to "Britainia" or "The Witcher"
I have watched 2 episodes so I could be jumping to conclusions too early, but the pit they have dug, through 2 episodes will require a lot of Merlin Magic.
I want this to be good, I want this to succeed, but........
