An average book that many people will enjoy while the book has high flying reviews, most of those reviews are bases on the very beginning of the book which is Fantastic. if the book stopped after chapter 7 i would give this TONS of praise but the author added so many chapters of absolutely Nothing important. The Main conflict is about self growth and forgiveness. It has many mature scenes and serious topics. I personally didn't have trouble with the long boring sections but that's because I read sci-fi. but for the purpose of the review the Incredibly slow middle to end really ruins what could of been an amazing short story.

A Masterpiece held back by the authors past novels. People don't understand that when an author writes in a different genre the writing will be different. a lot of the bad reviews are a result of people who are mad this book isn't just more Inheritance Cycle.
