In terms of Isaac Asimov's Foundation series it's butchered, confusing and altered beyond recognition. I am left disappointed and annoyed having read the series. As a film, it's creative and visually appealing as its own sci-fi story, it would have been better to have it's own title and let it stand. I would have rated it a 4-5.
