This is a show that had a ton of potential and did nothing with it. Think TV equivalent of the kids who were all in the advanced placement classes but work at Starbucks now because they were never forced to try for anything.
Could have been a really cool kids detective show, but the super creepy sex energy between the cat king (mid-late 20s) guy and what is obviously supposed to be an underaged boy (14-16). Makes it feel more like the male version of Epstines island than a dark comedy aimed at teens or kids.
The not so subtle attempts at “The Message” also makes the show super cringy as the lazily try to shoehorn in DEI into every other minute. At one point the even use the term “Male fragile ego”. Alienating a good portion of people.
Ultimately I don’t think that this show was made for any group other than the elusive modern audience.
