I… I’m… WOW. This book transformed my thinking. I have always been sensitive and empathetic victims of domestic abuse but I always had this “it could never be me” mentality. This book definitely challenged those thoughts. I found myself hating Ryle and at the same time empathetic towards him. My emotions were all over the place. I read this book in 6 hours. Stayed up past 3am because I literally couldn’t put it down. Definitely an emotional rollercoaster and I can’t wait to read “it starts with us” but I’m taking a few days to calm my mind first. 😂
