I rarely watch sitcoms, but the reviews for this were so good I thought I'd give it a go. It's about two Irish teenager guys, best friends, who get into an out of, a lot of crazy shenanigans. Each story is unique, well produced, and often times hysterically funny. The slap-in-your-face, often raw humor might not be for every viewer, but there are moments that certainly will make ANYONE laugh! What really sets this series apart is that each episode has a genuinely worthwhile message to share about life, themes that anyone can relate to, and perhaps even bring tears to your eyes. Very refreshing. Very unique. A genuine joy to watch!

Outstanding! Most movies about kids in high school I find annoying and almost unbearable to watch, but this one reaches for the magic of John Hughes epics like The Breakfast Club, Ferris Bueller's Day Off and Sixteen Candles. It's just a little more up-to-speed with the times, but the magic is there. In a perfect rating system this movie gets 4.2 stars, but forced between the choice of either 4 stars or 5, I have no problem giving it 5.

This movie is outstanding. Since 4.5 stars isn't an option it gets 5. I can't believe the poor reviews others give it. I understand that the basic story is one that may not appeal to everyone, but this movie is a quality production from the very first moment to the end, and unquestionably worth watching. Minor spoiler alert below: As with many movies about gay men, the ending is tragic and sad. If that's not what you're into, don't watch this. My only real complaint is that I feel like it needed at least an extra 20 or 30 minutes of content. I feel like the story was rushed, and much more easily could have been added to bring more context into the many relationships. Netflix would have turned this into a six episode series, and all of it would have been top quality filmmaking worthy of watching.

I had low expectations at the beginning of this movie, and even a third into it I had doubts, but by the end I'm reluctantly giving it 4 stars, because it's well produced, and it had some wonderful, very touching moments. Minor spoiler ahead... The ending is difficult and yet painfully realistic, and it'll leave you desperately wanting for a sequel, as I noticed others who reviewed this have mentioned. I wouldn't hold your breath for a sequel though, because allegedly this is based on a true story. There won't be a sequel. Should you watch it? I gave it 4 stars for a reason.

SMALL SPOILER ALERT This movie is very well produced, but the ending leaves you begging for a sequel. I think everyone would love to see what these footballers are doing 5 years later. Although the ending was realistic, there's a lot more of a story to tell and it should be told. I'm sure this wasn't commercially successful enough for a sequel, sadly. That's definitely not because this movie isn't good. It's great! Is it worth watching as a standalone, sure! I did give it four stars, and I'm picky. And who knows, maybe the "movieland gods" might bless us with a miracle. 🤞

This was disappointing. 7 years ago this movie may have been slightly edgy and relevant, perhaps even 2.5 stars just for the attempt at a difficult story, but it's very dated now, and even upon its release it was a good concept, but average at best from production standards. Unnecessarily difficult, uncomfortable and tense throughout. Some may like this, but there are far better choices out there for your 90 minutes.
