Began well and deteriorated rapidly after episode two. Were they writing it as it was acted? The plot went from implausible to the ridiculous. It’s an insult to the viewers intelligence.
Series 1 was great. Series 2 ia huge disappointment and one of the most amateur police dramas to be aired in a long time.
Very poor writing, ludicrous plot construct, dreadful editing, hilariously improbable scenarios. I could write pages and pages on the farcical errors, a cross between Hot Fuzz meets Keystone Cops. I particularly liked all the armed response unit tumbling out of the van and running into the dangerous house, following Lola (the Heroin addict Detective) in her M&S coat and court shoes. Lola and Ryan’s commanding officer with the most wooden lines and performance imaginable, Frederica swallowing the human finger before her interview, no gagging, and best of all - Dom gets stabbed and is up and about three days later - and she’s not alone! When you consider the writing and acting quality of Blue Lights, Line of Duty, Responder, Happy Valley to name just a few, then the perpetrators of S2 We Hunt should be made to sit in the corner with a conical hat on their heads.
