So I just finished watching this movie and it was so stupid. So it's a romance/drama about a beautiful British woman spying in France in WWII. And she has a romance with the French partisan whose father is sheltering her and two little Jewish boys in his home. And their romance unfolds amidst the drama of the Nazi invasion in the village where she's staying. And the problem was that the movie was too short, because one moment the SPOILER ALERT two little boys and the partisan's father are being taken to their deaths on a Nazi train, and like five minutes later the two lovebirds are enjoying their reunion and their happily ever after. And altogether the plot was just a bit rushed and its elements were underdeveloped. In conclusion, it's a good enough movie to kill time on, but don't let the participation of Cate Blanchett and Michael Gambon fool you into thinking that it's a genuinely good film.
