By far the best Marvel Disney plus series so far, a great blend of action and humour. Nothing feels forced and Kate is great as the new Hawkeye, it feels like it was written by people who genuinely care for the character rather than studio executives looking to get a pat on the back for using female heroes. I can't think of a single episode I disliked or a single actor who gave anything other than a great performance. (*spoilers) perhaps the only criticism I have as a big daredevil fan is about Wilson Fisk, they water him down a lot and dress him all wacky like so it kind of feels like a parody of the Fisk we met in daredevil. While they portray him as strong he never feels like a physical presence and doesn't really hurt Kate much just simply throws her around, lastly we are left unsure as to whether Fisk is dead at the end, I've got a feeling he's still alive but if he is really dead it would probably be the biggest waste of a character I've ever seen.

Been a fan for the past few years now, the show is very charming and humorous for the most part, except the celeb version is 1/5 stars. The people on the show are good at coming across as naturally or unintentionally funny, there is no turning and winking at the camera and you can relate to them, however the celebs who nowadays live in fear of being cancelled and will all jump to collect brownie points when discussing societal issues just feel so fake as human beings, their only interest is in protecting their careers and they aren't the least bit funny. There are times where the show doesn't deliver such as 1. when channel 4 are using it to promote their own shows that aren't even that good. 2. Pointless nudity 'naked attraction' is the usual suspect but there are more, its just a cheap way to provoke some over the top reactions from the cast 3. Politics, the show is left leaning and im pretty left wing myself but a lot of the time it just gets on my nerves every time it touches on politics. My most memorable example was when the father of the Malones was critiquing the "confusing lockdown rules", they were slightly confusing but he was making out the rules were impossible to understand and made a right arse of himself on TV as he foamed at the mouth trying to joke about the topic. 4. Societal issues, since a lot of their opinions on societal issues are formed from the TV they are as detached from reality as the shows they watch are. It feels like a good show dragged down by executives trying to cash into the free advertising opportunity or appeal to whatever they think is the hot issue at the moment.

Its funny for a few seasons, wouldn't recommend a binge as you will get sick of it fast. After a while Andy Samberg just becomes more annoying and less charming and after watching so many seasons of this I don't think ill be watching anything with him in for a few years. The whole cast basically just becomes as "wacky" as Samberg after season 1 and the majority of the jokes become centred around their "quirky" personalities, with no substance in any of the jokes this becomes stale and cringey after a while. The show is not all jokes however as there are some serious moments which when you watch the whole thing and look back you start to realise are all identical, usually its Jake explaining an action of his because of reason (parental issue/ past incident in police career), its the same tone of voice and expressions from him each time. The show occasionally touches on societal issues and at first it does just an ok job at it, nothing special but ok, then towards the later seasons they start to become really awful like zero nuance and a total detach from reality. Its reached its final season and the time for this show to die could not have come sooner.
