Decent campaign but it 's not long enough and it doesn't really live up to the legacy of the first Black Ops game. Mason and Woods are more or less window dressing and by the time the story kicks into gear and brings back that classic Black Ops flavour, the game ends. The whole thing felt quite tame and didn't really deliver on its premise.
The multiplayer got boring surprisingly quickly and doesn't feel as satisfying or rewarding to play as Modern Warfare. There's also just a clear lack of content in this area.
Overall, the game feels like a downgrade from Modern Warfare. While a few years ago I think this game would've been a massive hit, Modern Warfare advanced the series in a number of key ways (including a phenomenal engine upgrade that Cold War doesn't use), which just makes Cold War feel like an outdated game. The gunplay reached new heights with Modern Warfare that Cold War fails to capture, making the whole experience less satisfying, less immersive, and ultimately, less fun.
Complaints aside, the zombies mode is quite fun and is by far the best part of the game, especially with a few friends. I only wish they would sell zombies as a separate entity because paying full price for one mode isn't worth it.
