It wasn’t a great film but I enjoyed it very much. I remember Dutch fondly and appreciate the film for having showcased his character, his belief in the innate goodness of all beings. His stewardship during some of the darkest days of this nation give us pause; I wish the current GOP had a leader of such moral character.

Hard to believe this film won one, much less multiple awards. Disjointed, poor production quality, frankly dull as well as hard on the eyes with its strobe effects. I have a sneaking suspicion this mess of a film was nominated solely because its cast was all Asian and the Academy felt the need to compensate Asian actors for blatant exclusion over the decades.

Detested it. Dark, disturbing, pointless.
