Tim’s book is overly simplistic diagnosing some of the obvious things that some in the church already know. His condescending no it all and many times ill informed blanket view of the church is unfair, but gives him plenty of speaking opportunities for those people who are already have a grind on the church. While some of the information is true, it doesn’t represent all of Christianity, and certainly not all of conservative evangelicals who are some the most compassionate people around the world whose politics is not go to first out of the gate. Being a devoted Christ follower impacts every aspect of our life, including our morality snd our convictions. Tim would do better if he would provide solutions and not always be problem oriented. American Christian Diversity has always been on the front lines of ending slavery, and helping with orphans as well as labor laws.
