Almost all 5 star reviews are paid for, and it’s abhorrently obvious. The series is a flop. They’ve twisted halo into some new form of television art junk, attempting to pull people into a warped halo universe with all the same characters, non of the original lore, non of the original back stories, and new “twists” ie master chief taking his helmet off??? (To be clear he is meant to be a faceless hero much like his name simply being John). It is clear the director and non of the actors picked up one of the books, or even bothered to at least watch run throughs of the games. I read every book, and played all games to completion. They did not do the halo universe or its fan base justice. Which they seem fine with, and I’m fine with it also, because this show will ultimately go nowhere long term. Listen to the fans, don’t wing it on something so massively successful and hope it works out. You cannot adopt something and treat it like a dumpster fire and see the desired results. If you see 5 star reviews of people saying they played the games, it’s a paid for review, you can tell based on grammar or as I read one of them “great movie” when it is a tv series.
