The only pluses I've found about the game are the art style, and soundtrack. Every other part is an utter disappointment.
A big warning sign is when a game has no difficulty selection at the beginning of it, signifying whatever difficulty the creators of the game deemed adequate for it.
A game with Norse mythology connections that has you fighting giants, scrounging for powers, and feeling overall unlike a warrior.
This is not a forgiving game:
-Exploration is lackluster with a map that is less than useless. This would usually be a nonplus but most of the game seems built around exploration.
-God powers are gotten from exploring the environment, not from defeating a giant in each stage, and ultimately feel like an afterthought come combat time.
-Combat for the most part is an afterthought, with it being a "get good" difficulty that will have you die many times. In a traditional rogue-like/lite this will be enjoyable and feel rewarding most of the time, not the case for Jotunn.
I got this game on sale for a few dollars and that's still too much to pay, games above all else are a form of entertainment, and should be enjoyable.
