This movie demands your attention and leaves you content with a feeling of completeness. I'm a big fan of movies shot in a room or a single location, it brings out the details on music, light, cinematography and focuses on the story, plot and performances.
You'll always try to find a mistake or hole in his story but his answers were always practical and agreeable to a sane and logical mind. You'd put yourself in John Oldham's shoes and imagine his life, each time he'd talk about a new era or a phase of his life.
The Man of Earth is one of my favourite movies of all time and I love so much so that I could write a review paper on it. So, take a little time out of busy life and watch a group of interesting people having a scintillating conversation on a dusky evening with a bottle of Johnnie Walker Green and a few paper cups.
