Gripping, suspenseful, creepy, if you can suspend your disbelief about all the coincidences....the witchy ladies, Rael, the location. A mystery that keeps you guessing......is it Jacey's state of mind or is the Malin House really haunted? ('Malin'!) What was more scary, the hauntings, or her husband's behaviour? The coercive control depiction was chillingly executed. We suspect when nobody else can see the apparitions or hear the sounds that it could be in her mind. The haunting/ curse follows her to the Cambridgeshire ancestral home, with it's own spooky tale to tell, yet also becomes a safe haven, setting the scene for the denouement.
