You have scientists that keep up with proper protective equipment and protocols when entering and exiting the lab, yet they bring a dog past the doors? And play with the dog INSIDE the lab? Now, as a human scientist, would I look for a missing dog where all the experimental genetically modified plants are that need key card access to enter, or literally anywhere else?
My point is the people make really stupid mistakes. They had a locker room of sorts. You're telling me someone was able to sneak past that area, decontamination zones, cameras, and hundreds of colleagues with a big plant in broad daylight? Okay, let's say she went afterhours, there are cameras and surely there are logs of who entered with their key card and at what time. They look back at camera footage and see a plant is missing, they check the door logs and the camera and boom, scientist fired.
Character actions make no sense in this movie.
Also, if you care about your ears don't play this movie with the sound on. Every time that droning squeaking sound played I rolled my eyes.
