I have loved this film since I first saw it as a teenager. It is a classic. With a great case headed by Robert Taylor, it displays the nitty-gritty and hardships this wagon train of women went through to start anew in California. No easy journey through the wild and unpredictable west of the country. The viewer can feel the sense of relief and anticipation as the women that survived the journey finally meet the men for whom they traveled so far.
