If you are expecting Fury Road part two you are going to be let down, but I am glad Miller did not make an extension of FR. This movie is darker and has more of a plot. If the review app allowed 1/2 stars this would be a solid 4 1/2 stars movie. If you are looking for the reckless abandon of the FR chase scenes, you get a bit of that, but you also get a story line and character development. Fury Road was more "fun" to watch and very different from other movies of the time because it looked and felt more rooted in reality, instead of the faux world of CGI. I liked Fury Road a lot, but I might like Furiosa, just tiny bit more. Chris Hemsworth I think shined the brightest, and really seemed to enjoy his role. Just as the supporting character of Furiosa (Charlize Theron) stole the show in FR, so does Dementus in Furiosa. The rest of the actors including, Ana Taylor Joy are good, but I think Hemsworth was the most memorable. FR feels a bit more like a comic book, but Furiosa is more like a movie. Furiosa is not without its flaws and drags a bit at the end but if you are George Miller fan more than a Mad Max fan, you will definitely enjoy this movie.
