Deft, clever, and very funny indeed. Really enjoyed this. Possibly the best use of John Hamm since Mad Men. Great script. Every single scene with Marcia Gay Harden is hilarious

White Noise is a grossly over-rated, meandering, pointless book full of artfully presented truisms. It is still done a gross disservice by this over-long, completely unnecessary and unduly faithful adaptation. Baumbach is a great director. It is mystifying that he thought the film was adaptable, let alone that it might be a successful adaptation

This is a dreadful film - an incoherent mishmash with the two leads hamming it up, and the worst script David Mamet has been involved in in a storied career. A satire needs to be tethered to some sort of recognisable reality with characters who remain within the parameters of likely/plausible human behaviour. Without this, it's merely an exercise in scattergun cynicism. Very poor.
