I have read 5 of Paulette Jiles books including “News of the World”. Every book is a FIVE STAR. I can see no other actor in the part of Captain Kidd in the movie. I give all her books and the movie a FIVE STAR rating. Ms. Jiles does not use quotes but her style of writing is enhanced by the lack of them. I am an avid reader and enjoy an author who knows how to write a book. She does a lot of research plus uses many words and language of the mid 1800’s. Most of her books take place during or just after the Civil War.
