This show is absolutely amazing so far and is doing the legacy of LOTR justice. The complaints seen here in the reviews are coming from people who refuse to belive that this show is good enough to warrant its budget, but ignore the budget, and you get an incredible fantasy story with unique and badass main characters and incredible world building. Yes, it is slow, but not so slow that it's not engaging. 2 episodes in and it is setting the stage for the rest of the series. It's not "woke" like epole are saying, it just had female characters and actors of a variety of races. And if that's a problem and ruins your "fantasy story" then that's a you problem. The show is an absolute joy and a gripping watch. I can't recommend it enough.
Don't people complain when a series is just a direct copy of the previous movies? Why are people combining about the very little amounts of politics in the show when the books have always had political undertones and arelitteraly based around war as a concept. Art should be transformative and have some social relevance. The people complaining would still be combining if the show was a 1 to 1 copy of the Peter Jackson trilogy. Just a bunch of haters with no legitimate complaints or commentary to add to the conversation.
