I had really high hopes for this movie being a huge Beetlejuice fan. However I was really disappointed with this movie. The whole movie lacked consistency and depth. I felt like Delores, Jeremy & William Defoe’s character felt pointless. I wish they gave us more of a backstory or these characters, Delores especially. Her character just wondered around saying where’s Beetlejuice, sucking people souls away & died abruptly at the end. I wanted her to be more. She really did nothing. It just seems like they really focused more on the CGI than the actual storyline. I wish they had stuck with puppets and props for a film like this. Overall the movie was all over the place & the storyline got confusing because it felt rushed & wasn’t explained the best.
