The best thing about this version is that it makes the characters so much more human. And at the same time, it also tells us the importance of character development. Here the characters have purpose, a drive, and thus their actions make sense. Nothing feels rushed, especially superman. Here you actually get to feel a world without Superman, you actually buy the fact that he is no longer there, because you are given time to believe. The fight sequence from Darkseid's earlier conquest sets the tone, and makes the current conquest believable. Batman seems more in command in this version, and to be honest, it's only Wonderwoman who's character doesn't see much change. In Snyder's Cut, it's not Superman and Batman who save the day but as promised Cyborg is the heart of the film and Flash's time reversing sprint gives you goosebumps. And last but not the least, the music- even the background scores are in no hurry, the music lends the final touch to make it a film so so different in tone than the theatrical cut. It's difficult to not like a movie when each frame tells you the passion Zack Snyder has for DC heroes. It's a movie made by someone who probably grew up believing these characters were real, and it shows in the film.
