Now, I did enjoy the game and think that as a Pokemon game it’s fine, however, I would not recommend the game overall. This new entry to the mainline Pokemon is functionally the same as its predecessor and offers its users a similar experience to older games in the series, and if that what you looking for then, by all means, go for it. If however, you are looking for an innovative new entry to the Pokemon franchise then you are in for a disappointment.
(Also, the game cost £45.00! It certainly isn't worth that much)
I think it is a fair statement to say that the game certainly has both it’s flaws and strengths, although I would say that the flaws significantly outweigh the game’s strengths. So I will list some of them below:
Strengths:
The new Pokemon designs are great.
The game's music is also great
Gym battles have a great atmosphere.
Flaws:
The story is boring and unengaging
The battle animations are bad and static
The graphics are bad (see the tree)
The national dex has been cut
There has been no innovation in games functionality
The wild area is laggy whilst online
Removed existing features such as Z moves and Mega evolution
oy the game, I am not recommending the game.
