Perhaps for a genre of screwed-up noir stories, with limp plots and overall weak internal connectedness, it is almost ok. Once the little girl starts singing "Old MacDonald", it would be a good notion to turn off the movie's soundtrack and put on a Youtube version of that song, with it looping, for the rest of the movie. There is little suspense. The movie drags on and on as the predictable, inevitable events fall like tiresome dominoes, leading to the creepy ending leaving a nice little girl left being raised by two horribly pathological people. A real feel good story. Oh, there is a fair amount of rather arousing sexual acts for fair measure.

Only Adam Sandler could have made this movie any dumber. Or forgettable. There are some funny moments, but is essentially a 3 Stooges (two stooges in this case), a film that was left out in the hot sun for several days and turned bad. Some people like this smucky humor. Eat it up. Sigh.

Way, WAY too many plot holes, just in season one. Only watch if you want getting off on emotional jags over the tension, but have no concern if the story has cohesion. For all the excellence in the production & the acting, the stories seem just slapped together without regard to what makes sense. It resembles a dream of semi-related intense sequences which aren't completely coherent at the end. The series could have had a 4-5 star review but for the sloppy non-effort to put out a good product.

The story is 2-dimensional, and events implausible. It's rather absurd story telling. As a fan of the Leaphorn & Chee Navajo Detective stories this was most disappointing. If they continue this series, HIRE REAL WRITERS.

it's poorly constructed. take away the special effects & there's not much of a story. Certainly not as compelling a story as is needed. I'm quite a fan of Mads Mikkelson, but he's miscast here. Everything about the aura of Grindelwald was off. I understand why they chose to recast the part, but Depp brought a felt ferocity to the Grindelwald character that was compelling, and intriguing. Which sadly Mads doesn't provide. In re-watching the movie the weakness of the storyline and the overall lack of oomph of the movie only got worse. Unlike rewatching previous movies of the Potter-universe, another go at FB-3 made the feeling of diluted plot & characters stumbling through scenes more noticeable. Good enough to watch, for some limited aspects, but not a shining movie, by far

Enjoyable, yet weaker overall then it could have been. Even for its genre the plot is too empty. A great deal of the story telling felt cranked out. Nice having the old gang back. And Mckenna Grace, playing Egon Spengler's granddaughter, tips this from 'so-so' to 'fun to see'. That said, it was still fun to watch. And lightyears ahead of the regrettable recent fem GB's. The movie Extras.. just one deleted scene. I can easily point out more scenes which needed to be at least trimmed. So the extras are a mixed bag, some ok, but much of it is way too self-congratulatory: the baseball capped 'best friend' of director Jason was needlessly fawning, but unfortunately he wasn't the only guilty party. Oh, the end piece music.. was there no money to spend on making something better? Rather lame.
