I tired to give the movie a chance, despite being initially swayed in a negative direction due to the lack of representation to the classic Ariel Princess hair. However, I could not finish watching the movie. I turned the movie off after Ariel's opening song 'Part of Your World'. It was, in my opinion, not done justice. Personally I feel that the overall feel of wonder and longing that is so clearly heard in Jodi Benson's version was missing in Halle's version. (on a smaller note: I was also bugged that they kept the fork as a dingle hopper, but changed the thing-a-ma-bobs from wine corkscrews to pocket watches.)
