What a drag this series didn't continue. Great cast, smart tight meaningful writing in plot and character. Politically relevant, domestically and internationally. Casting is amazing for a production covering so much breadth of humanity. The nucleus of this sprawling fantastic "what if" endeavor is Mehdi Dehbi who brings an uncanny natural ease to his portrayal of a man who might be god incarnate, a role that if delivered with anything less than total conviction, would have sunk the entire show. Messiah is the kind of high concept/ high quality programming that sets a streaming service apart. I think the series would have found its audience had it been allowed to continue. Another inexplicable lost opportunity for Netflix, an aborted classic.
