A good movie that could have been a great movie. Set in the early 1950s Kevin Costner and Diane Lane do have good chemistry together and where Lanes' character takes charge, initially works fine. However, it doesn't take long to see that her character actually turns out to be the weak link to the movie. "Margaret" keeps pushing forward running on total emotion, with no thought or regard to consequence. Her decisions and dialogue is sometimes cringe worthy. Thus weaking the "tough" character (I think) she is so pose to be portraying. Were they trying to hard to be politically correct? You be the judge.
