I decided to not watch it just based on one photo. In the box at Ford's Theater, Lincoln is portrayed as having a full beard. By early 1865, Lincoln had shaved most of his beard (this can be seen in the last professional photos taken of him in February 1865.) He really only had what would amount to a modified goatee. If this show can be so outrageously inaccurate for something so basic, how can it be relied upon as to the accuracy of other facts? In another review, I read that Stanton is portrayed without a beard. C'mon. . . Stanton was recognized BY the beard. It was his signature look.
