Video games have always had movies and while most of them were mediocre at best, sonic the hedgehog was different, it was funny heart warming and entertaining. Sonic was interesting he was funny in a cringe worthy kind of way but it was still quite funny, his backstory was neat and short to get the audience engaged with the film. Dr egg man was the funniest character with this film it felt like an origin story for the evil Dr egg-man, at the end of the film he looked exactly like the design of egg-man from the game. In conclusion it was a fantastic film for a video game film , i would say it was better than detective pikachu or even on par with it, but i would say better. 10 outta 10 based on video game movies but 9.5 outta 10 other all cinema
