I played since day one of classic. I've finally decided to leave at the end of BfA. The story is awful. They can only create stories within the Alliance by uplifting them to sickeningly glorious levels where any kind of advancement doesn't have any weight behind them. They can only create stories within the Horde by giving an interesting Horde character pieces of new story, then murdering them as "character development". The gameplay isn't rewarding any more, and it's pretty obvious to see that Activision is simply giving you just enough content to keep you paying their subscription fee. I know that reading this, I must seem like a bitter long time player that just wants the "good old days" back, and I am, but I've been around long enough to see exactly what is happening here. To see my favorite game going down in flames like this along with one of my favorite companies right along with it is painful, not going to lie, but I'd rather see it dead than to see Activision keep trying to squeeze more cash out of it. It's a shame. If you want my honest opinion on it, I can't really tell you to not buy it, but play the old content only. It has value, and there's enough of it to keep you busy for a long time. And if you play Horde, don't get attached to anyone; they'll be killed off, depowered, or made irrelevant soon enough. Just realize that it starts going downhill with Cataclysm and never, never gets better.
