Shante' Gambrel

The OVA is a beautiful work of gothic art, and I would highly recommend it to anyone who enjoys a well-paced plot with supernatural action. It is violent and graphic, so definitely not for kids, but the characters and story line are solid and engaging.

This series took a few episodes for me to really start enjoying the story, but, I thought it was entirely worth it to have stuck through the first 3 to get there. While the first one was almost entirely off-putting, due to the violence and disregard for honor, I knew that it was setting up the story. Once past that, I felt like it turned into a very rewarding watch. The casting is also very top-notch. I have loved both the villains and the heroes throughout.
