While Alamzeb's character could have had more depth, overall, the portrayal was commendable. Tajdar's character, brilliantly brought to life by the actor, added a captivating layer to the story, especially in his relationship with Alamzeb. Their love story became the highlight for me. Sanjay Leela Bhansali's direction beautifully shed light on the forgotten struggles and dignity of Tawaifs, highlighting the complexities they faced, making me appreciate the modern freedoms we often take for granted.

I am absolutely amazed by this show, undoubtedly the best I've seen in recent times. Being a 90s kid, I could connect with every single element portrayed, from the Hindi tuition teacher to the anticipation of summer vacations and the joy of waiting for mangoes. The acting is truly brilliant, and the characters are wonderfully brought to life.
