Must watch in Theater and a biopic with some nuances of moral education as well.. well done!! When you hear the term Biopic and in real life the Major was KIA, you certainly don't need anything else to attract certain audiences atleast, who were friends of Major and extended families, so in that aspect the movie is easy winner, but the way SK and SP has acted their roles in the movie, huge respect to them. As you walk in the cinema hall, you are sure these 2 characters will not be hated, but you never thought you would love them the way you do at the end of movie and sob in tears when they are breaking down. It was just phenomenal acting and both of them ofcourse stole the show, you can never have a scene without them in the foreshadow or in the frame. great job Am sure there will be few instances added to make the story telling much more movie-centric than documentry centric, which is understandable, however you don't get thatt out of sync feel at all anywhere in the movie. The pacing was fantastic, camera angles were spot on and rather than just saying what happened, the director added his touch in terms of placing the right segway as well, like how should a leader act, how does society view army men, etc. But the ideas are so well weaved across the story it doesn't feel like a solo act just to gain audience whistles! There are few minor flaws though, we know Major Mukund was KIA, from the 1st instance they use that card and sometimes it is used a bit extended which i believe wasn't needed. Referring every comment about him into dark context was again a subtext and foreshadowing we know will happen but reminding the audience everytime was bit of overkill Not sure about accuracy of life depiction after UG, however having spent 3 years in Under Grad with the late Major Mukund is a proud moment for me and considering his towering look and personality, actor Jeyam Ravi would have been a better candidate look wise, however SK has not given one ounce of injustice to the character No regrets watching it at all and proud of every jawan who are standing in the firing line and giving peacful life for people who they hardly know!!

Well Rajnikanth teaches Self Reflection, job very well done!! Never in my wildest dream i ever thought Superstar doing a role less than ordinary, because he can and will always get away with it. Not in here, the director has made sure he looks at Inspector Athiyan from a different lens altogether The first 20 mins of the movie is really a typical Rajnikanth's Mass masala run of the mill, but we are not disappointed because we know that is expected though! But after that surprising turn of events makes us question our judgement and from thereon the movie does not disappoint at all. It just keeps us on our toes and makes Rajnikanth just another element in the script and not the pivotal point around whom the movie revolves everytime When we saw the trailer, the number of stars used in movie did question us, but certainly right amount of screen space and script given to every character including Fafa and AB. This is not easy to pulll off as every one had the ability to overpower their role and steal the show, but the director was very cleverly used them for the right time and which gave us the impact of every role in the movie Ofcourse the runtime could have been 20 mins shorter which would made the movie quite extraordinary but again not every audience would want that, a trauma scene has never been so repeated in a movie off-late and director could have just shown lesser of it. Slow-Mos can surely be lesser, please!!! A NO-hassle movie from Rajnikanth and company, just thoroughly enjoyable sending a moral message as well, kudos to the team and a real treat to eyes!

Involved and entertained for sure, but movie surely could have been much more greater than that! Likeable: the movie wastes no time, which is quite engaging and keeps you involved from scene 1, frame 1. This is a treat to watch. Crisp and clear dialogue delivery, Kudos towards the actors as well as scriptwriters, it's just the right amount of interaction you want to hear and keeps the pace and lighting right to keep you interested. Gives what it shows, there are no unwanted or wastes screen space in terms of jump scares or gore makeups etc. You can take everything at face value and believe it which is hard to see in today's world of over promising movies. Connectivity between past and current life is so done well and exemplary editing work Unwanted extras: Songs were bad and the actors did not have any chemistry whatsoever, so 10 mins could have been easily removed. Unwanted heroics just to prove he is the hero and trying to sway audience to look the other way like his standup character for women, his scuffle at super market, emotional scenes on to-be father, totally needless for the movie and doesn't add any value. Another 15 mins could have been scrapped off Lost its way: The build-up to the mystery is not solved nor explained clearly. questions remain unanswered: why does it happen to them, a backstory connecting the couple to mystery is a missed opportunity, why wasn't the mystery solved and just left for any other person to suffer is beyond reasoning. The movie spent time in making us understand what is happening but how can it be stopped and completing the puzzle was missed out. Better sound engineering would have been made scenes more gripping and even more intriguing Could have been a mind bending Epic, but now a watchable movie in theaters only!!

Certainly, hope this is the last movie for Vijay, this monstrosity is unwatchable even in Netflix In a country that considers movie and cricket as a religion, this movie is just a blatant disrespect for thousands of movie and cricket fans. How can a movie be so bad is beyond belief, i could rant on this all day long but i will cover 5 basic flaws with this movie 1. Plot convenience: Hero is shown as a aloof character with no real sense of dangers, however when he fills up an application form in hospital with a 5-year old; you would think a parent will take the kid along with them rather just drop them in the corridor, that too after they just have been chased by criminals who tried to kill them? This was only done to start the movie and give it a kickstart and nothing else, pathetic script writing 2. Character Depth: You don't really feel for the characters, every actor has played a sub-par role when they are much more capable. This shows director's lack of confidence with the script and wants to just get along the movie and rush it to an end. A small backstory or a underlying concept will have been easier to weave a connection and grasp our attention 3. Lack of motive: So a gangster family died in a collateral damage and he wants to avenge the cop. Sounds plausible but showcasing him like a victim and then creating a decade or more long scheme just to kill one guy seems absolute overkill. Never have been a villain so glorified in any movie and being a murderer he is, don’t think would wait that long. Doesn't the villan have other criminal things to do rather than just get over the loss? like a real Criminal 4. Poor poor music: Honestly, the songs and BGM wasn't just annoying it was outright painful to hear. Any movie lover knows BGM makes or breaks movie (Kakka Kakka, Leo to name a few), here the music is not present when in need nor it isnt powering the scene through. It just hits the wrong notes and makes you feel even more disinterested in movie 5. Usage of AI: AI is a buzzword everywhere, we get it, but real people are still way better even in the tasks AI are expected to do. In this movie, the technologies used to show Vijay younger looks very ghastly and certainly his mannerisms looks very unnatural. We are never able to take him seriously at all. He looks like a plagued version of Vijay and when he faces off with actual Vijay it seems more like a video game than a real emotional ordeal. Apart from these are many many useless plot breaks, such as So-called fun element in terms of Nehru vs Gandhi narrative, unwanted kill of every character, unwanted twists in the name of surprise element, unrealistic / unwanted bike chase scenes ending nowhere. Unwanted closeups (like one with Laila, YG Mahendran) and Slow-Mos which drags the story even further, final cricket scene.. Long story short: Please avoid this move if you have folliowing medical condition: A perfectly fine working BRAIN

Another dumb movie by dhanush, not even streaming-worthy Movie about a brother who takes care of family and the hardships. This is a golden, tried and tested formula; even if the execution is poor we will have the strong family camaraderie to reel us back in. This movie is not just poorly executed but lacks the depth and bond which should keep us engaged. From the first scene you will realise the movie's path is clear, a hard-core brother making sure his family is safe at all times, which is Hero. Now there are few gundas as ever and we expect the henchmen cross path with our hero and the rage shall begin. This is the basic story line, however the flaw in this is its lack of vindictive phase and actor's dismal portrayal of themselves. The annoying factor I felt many scenes is that the director expects you to go along with the poor screen space and poor storytelling just to see what lies ahead. This would have been intriguing had the story stayed in one direction. It starts with goody 2 shoes orphaned for reasons unknown, then travels as a stow away to City, a unplanned murder and complications all around after that. All of this has so many unanswered questions which the directors conveniently skips What happened to their parents? What is the relationship between Rayaan and villan? Why was a kid who was sent abroad to study end up in a beat up bar and not stay at his home? How did rayaan kill the villan at his home and nobody notices? In which movie have we seen a mom give up a child because his father was evil? And if she did, why? You can make enemies by being in the wrong place at wrong time, but this movie exploits that and brings too many characters which doesn't add value, Prakash Raj, Saravanan aka 1st villian, love interest, college election, sister's marriage.. If we can eliminate all of these and make the movie 20-30 mins shorter then this would be passable movie, but it doesn't so it's a colossal waste of time. Asuran type situation+ papanasam style family wellness was the right direction the script needed and I believe that was the aim. It was executed so poorly that you will not be happy with overall product!!

I was watching Everest and this movie came as a suggestion to watch, so that’s all I knew about this. It is a survival movie and as they say in the start “Survival of the fittest”. The movie leans it to this quite literally and keeps throwing obstacles their way and kudos to both actress. They played their roles well. One of the things the movie got right! Also the cgi was done well and you do get jitters in your feet when you watch the duo climb the tower, eventually they will make it but what are the survival hacks they pull through is what the movie is all about. Realism: When you are that high so many things are bound to happen which the movie conveniently skips, for e.g., sitting 2,500 ft up there’s hardly any wind, the heat and cold must be unbearable but they survive for 2-3 nights without much hassle which did not feel real. For climbers such as they were shown we would expect lot more gadget at least a flash light, claw knifes , gps phone etc. is something that must be default, but NO. They just lie there and wait for help to come and only real help which comes with a flare gun turns about to be useless and rob their cars without even a hint of help, highly unlikely even for ungrateful jerks. Story telling is way too off and where there should be emotion there wasn’t, you expect anger in places and there is none. So the story is only good as the person who says it, here the person saying it doesn’t feel invested, which is a bummer and we really want her to win, but it doesn’t seem like that. Screenplay needs to be turning up the tension at all levels and not just small outbursts of efforts-gone-vain moments. Lack of conviction makes us the characters less likeable and overall we just feel if this is what it is, just die! It is certainly not a cash grab, because there was too much potential in this movie; like the acting skills are good and they come across as you need. The story flat out and quite a unique one which is more relevant to this age and day, but I just felt this could’ve been a lot better if something else might have happened,i if there was an alternate ending to this.. etc. the camera angles and long shots were done to perfection and that is what kept the movie going. Watchable but not memorable!

A worthwhile movie, one I missed in theater! From the trailer and evil movies in past we expect a haunted doll which kills for no reason. But with Megan it's quite the opposite. It's what happens when too much of power which is not understood is given to anyone Ofcourse in today's world of AI and IoT devices Megan is surely a quick conversation starter and many ways says " I told you so" seeing that negative force in action is surely a great spectacle of AI and we always root for humans to be victorious The movie was paced really well and that is one of the biggest recommendation to watch it. And it's got jump scares and creepy feel everytime you see Megan. Its not over the top hell gone loose types but with precision and right screenplay this movie makes it really memorable No drags, to the point, and every scene was precise. The flaw I felt is the movie was very predictable like any other rogue AI movie and evey move was exactly what we expect from the creation to end. This was the only aspect which could have been handled better, but that made us lose the curiosity of overall experience But nevertheless the movie is not flawed, it's precise, accurate and whatever you expect so watch it and you can have fun

Once you say “Bases on true events” your interest peeks and you tend to hate it less. But this movie is not just using that rope to sell the cinematic experience, which is something you can appreciate at all levels. So many things clicked in this movie and it’s not because of character but how they are portrayed and how well they were used. In such movies screen space could be a huge issue, well not here.its so well balanced that you feel bad for every character and their small but lasting impression in our minds. Another thing which was really well made was the climatic condition itself. It’s not like just a big freezer look but semblance of ice shards, dresses bulked up, slurry speech and damn winds all the time in our ears. Some scenes made me feel chilly just by watching the frozen and lonesome landscape. It’s scary as hell and never will understand why people do this. Starting from get go there are no waste of time, they show just enough to peek interest but give you fine details and move in, wonderful screenplay and phenomenal editing. Rob will always be in our minds for his efforts but I cannot imagine I remember Doug, Helen, Sarah, beck, guy. Very surprised that a movie with so little talking made me remember many characters and their names, such phenomenal use of sound engineering and when rob said his final words I can really feel the emotion and tension that scene wanted you to see. Just watch it no more words

Mesmerizing with acting skills, enthralled by the screenplay, riveting by story telling Anytime you see a actor in army gear and anarchy around him you realise it will be a extraction to keep the story line simple and they do a pretty good job in keeping us engaged like Black hawk down, saving private Ryan etc. Here they have done just that but the story telling steals the show Jake Glynhall and Dar Salim have lived the characters and you can connect the dots in your head with what they feel and say.. you are invested from get-go with Jake but Dar Salim was a black horse; very quickly your perspective changes as he runs with this gut instinct to save people around him. After that it's just Salim's show for next 30 mins or so.. then when you get a breather with good guys hell goes lose again, now Jake suffering his PTSD and showcases us his riveting performance and finally creates a suicide mission to saving his friend or repay his debt When you watch such movies there are always moments which will feel irrelevant or a side-hustle to keep the pace up, nothing like that in this movie at all. Every step from scene 1 was towards a narrow mission and after that it was just towards surviving with true grit. Cannot appreciate the trio (Jake, Salim and director, Guy Ritchie) enough for giving us this Marvel. All of them were in unison and every act of movie kept getting better and better and the Bond felt stronger and stronger!! Although what Jake and Salim pulled off as mission in the movie, was nothing short of magic, no sappy emotions or cliched sacrifices was needed to make th movie all the more compelling and worth watching many times.

Grandeur with no substance and no clear path It is good to watch the movie in theatre, albeit we didn't watch in IMAX, which would made this snoozefest even spectacular to the eyes. There are movies which are recreated from books like the Harry potters, LOTR; and there are movies which are straight out fun and entertaining with Grandeur like the RRR. This movie could have taken either path and would have made it certainly a better package than how it is delivered now Granted not everyone knows Mahabharata accurately and the variation also depends on their source, books vis-a-vis television. So, when trying to weave a story foreshadowing Mahabharat the characters should be likeable for their designated roles and movie should revolve around that. Here the actrors are not even remotely playing the characters except for AB, their onscreen presence is overshadowed by their personal story which no one cares. Their lacklustre performances is seen throughout even in the first fight from Prabhas, it was the worse fight scene ever in the history of any movie. He tries to be funny/macho/romantic and clearly he was making a mockery of himself and made the fight a absolute lull Deepika Padukone is the pivotal character but all she manages to say are few sentences and mostly gives a shocker or scary look to the audience portraying her clueless behaviour and lack of depth to her role. Ofcourse she would ace it, had the director given due credits to her Other supporting characters are laughable and their portrayal is expected to be a relief for main characters, however i would say they were the ones who actually drove the movie to what it is now. Slow dragging screenplay and lack of depth driven characterisation makes us lose interest very soon and abysmal portray of a neverland in a physically illogical shape doesn't really spike interest in what the overall goal is, in the movie. Again one too many villains to focus in this franchise and this dilutes the actual maniac or what their plan even can be. Kamal Hasan getting rebirth reminds of Voldemort in Harry Potter only depicted in a more subdued and senseless fashion If the movie wanted to portray the epic war, it hasn't done justice to that. If the movie wanted a sci-fi action flick to just narrate a story of a dystopian world and the uprising of the rebels it fails to even make an impression, at last if the movie was focused on a spiritual narrative to salvage the last of humanity it is not really clear or resounded in any of the scenes. Watchable for Visual Effects and performances by AB and Kamal. Others you can tune out while watching and you will be glad you did, when the movie literally closes on the cliff hanger
