Channing Rider

I was disappointed by this 2nd vol of The Book of Dust. It was long, rambling, disconnected. The novel was short on imagination. The characters were flat and dull. I didn't care what happened to Lyra or her daemon. The long saga lacked a tight suspense filled drama, and the lack of resolution at the end was just insulting having chewed through 687 pages of banality. "To be continued?" Stuff that. Also Pullman does not know if he's writing for adults or children.
