I can not believe someone signed off on the album cover. As if, in 2023, it would be acceptable to print that?!
You can hark back to “the good ok’ days” where women were just there to please men and misogyny was all the rage as much as you like (although surely it must be tiresome by now? It’s so old hat), but in an age where we have a steady stream of celebrities outed as groomers, sex offenders, and paedophiles, someone at Republic Records signed off on that EP cover.
What does that cover say about a former teacher turned “musician”?
What does it say about the attitudes of his record label?
Not only will I never buy this record, I will avoid Republic Records from now on as well.
