This is a sensationalized and surrealist interpretation of Diana and there was no way nor was it the intention of the creators of this film to get Diana down as she was in reality.
The film looks beautiful and elegant, although it focuses on such a small world of the royal castle, there is so much consistency in the visual theme but is always unique in quality that it amplifies this small space to feel so much like an entire world. The character of Diana that Kristen Stewart is interpreting in this film is such a rich character that we can empathize and understand her in her most traumatized state. I grew closer and closer to her character the longer the film went and so did the character become more vibrant and admirable in her development.
I love this movie.
