INSPRIRING - to be short. I have been a viewer of Shark Tank USA for a couple of years now and somehow people including me were not too excited for this show perhaps a bit sceptical, but just watching it changed by entire perception. Often Indian reality shows are met with melodrama, but trust me this show had some too but they never exceeded it. This show has gone completely beyond my expectations, it's Shark Tank but with an Indianized twist, a show of our own.
The show suddenly rose in popularity just because of the freshness of such ideas to be first time introduced to an Indian audience. Though some of the judges got into several memes and one in a controversy, these guys rose the spirits of the show. Hinglish was primarily used and every pitch was given on the spot, which adds a lot of genuineness to a reality show. There were some great pitches and some maybe not so good. Sometimes the judging was a bit too harsh but this sets the premise for the show.
Terms like evaluation, gross margin, net profit, working capital, B2C, B2B might be familiar to a commerce student but introducing such notions to the common audience was always a risk but the show was still able to receive great appreciation. As a part of the audience I loved the show and can't wait for the next season.
