I am not a "word smith" by any means and don't think I'm very good at describing my thoughts into written word and I normally don't do reviews on shows and movies simply because I am just an avid enjoyer of tv and movies and very rarely find a show or movie I dislike but when it came to this show reboot I had to comment on it so here's my opinion on it. The best way to describe this live action "reboot" (if you can call it that?) is if every single person that had anything to do with making this live action adaption had NEVER watched any of the original anime and the only thing they had to go off of was one person who actually watched the anime but they watched it 20 years ago and have a terrible memory. Key elements from the original show have been changed in the live action for no reason other than the makers of this show trying to "make it their own" or "in their style" or to be "different" It comes down to this show feels like it was made to "appeal to the masses" and not the original anime fans which leaves the original fans let down by not staying true to the anime and the masses simply passing it by or not giving the show a second thought because they don't know or understand the history of the show . Film and movie makers and even video game makers these days really need to stop trying to be so "different", if you have a great formula then don't change it. Stop trying to make 2+2 add up to something different other than 4, if you've got a great chicken pot pie recipe and you substitute the chicken for something else then guess what? you don't have a great recipe for chicken pot pie. They had a great show to base the reboot off of then they changed a bunch of stuff in it and made a not great show....If it's not broke-don't fix it.
