Is there a version for people who struggle to read? In the UK alone I estimate there are around ten to fifteen million people who have dyslexia, aphasia, illiteracy or simply struggle to read due to dementia. The number of shows that make no allowances for these people is extraordinary. My wife and I started watching White Lines, there was no indication that it would contain subtitles. My wife cannot read due to global aphasia, I have to read subtitles out to her. After a while this wears a bit thin and we had to watch something else. Please do not suggest Audio Description, she doesn’t need to know what they’re doing, merely what they are saying when they’re speaking in Spanish.
