As soon as I started watching this I became disappointed. I can understand modernizing a story, but this went too far. I don't think Suess really needs to be improved upon in the first place. I felt like part of it's charm got taken away. Why do they need to be modernized? Why did Cindy Lou's mom have to be single and overworked? What was with the voice of the neighbor? Cindy Lou's character was kind of annoying. The Grinch wasn't mean. Just because you can make a character one way doesn't mean you should.
